We are so excited to be back in 2024 for the Hensley Off Road Races!
Please take a few minutes to review the information below, especially the directions to the race start. In years past we have had people that end up on the wrong side of the lake, we don't want that to be you, so plan ahead and review the directions below.

Hensley Lake Directions: Click here for Google Map Directions.

*If you’re using GPS please ensure it is taking you to the Buck Ridge Recreation Area on the east side of Hensley Lake. *

Packet Pickup: Saturday, Feb. 3rd from 3-5pm at Fleet Feet Sports Fresno located at 9447 N Fort Washington Suite 106 Fresno, Ca 93730

Race Day Packet Pickup: Sunday, Feb. 4th from 7-750am at Hensley Lake Buck Ridge Recreation Area. MTB Packet Pickup 8:45-9:45am.

*There will NOT be any race day registration*

Start Time: 10k Run will start at 8am. The MTB race will start near 10am
Parking: There is a $10 self pay fee at the main gate of the Buck Ridge Recreation Area, please make sure to self-register and pay the day use fee. Hensley Lake also participates in the America the Beautiful Pass Program if you have one you can display it.

Please allow extra time to pay your parking fee, unfortunately the park is not allowing us to hand out self pay envelopes prior to race day. They will also not be onsite to collect payment, the only method will be the kiosk at the entrance.

Once you enter through the main gate of the Buck Ridge Recreation Area you will follow the road straight and then turn left into the boat parking lot. If this lot is full there are two others just past it.  Then it will be a short walk back towards the gate and the Start/Finish area will be on your left.

If you arrive early enough there is a small parking lot near the start/finish, this will fill up very quickly though. NO double parking or parking on the shoulder.

The new kiosk outside the Buck Ridge gate takes credit card payment.

There is absolutely no parking on the shoulder of the roadway or in any place that will obstruct access.  The park rangers will issue citations.

Race Start Location: Will be just inside of the Buck Ridge Recreation main gate on the right hand side (north side).

MTB Race Numbers: Will need to be attached to the front of your handlebars with the number facing out. We will have twist ties to attach them with. Failure to properly attach your number will prevent us from recording accurate results.

10k Ride & Run Participants: If you signed up for the ride & run you only have to complete 1 lap for the MTB Ride. If you want to complete more please confirm with the timing tent before the race starts and ensure you start with the correct group.

Cat A is 3 laps-CAT B is 2 laps CAT 1 & Juniors is 1 Lap.  You may not switch events once the race starts, if you don't finish your laps you will be listed as DNF, not moved to another group.

Shirts: If the shirt size you registered for does not fit please wait until after the race to switch it out for another size.

Course Markers:  The course will be marked with the following: signs with directional arrows and  orange ribbon. The course should be very easy to follow so long as you follow the markers.

Aid Station: There will NOT be an aid station for the 10k, please be sure to carry some water with you. This course will take longer to complete than a road 10k.
