IMPORTANT UPDATE REGUARDING THE CANCELATION OF OUR IN-PERSON EVENT

Hello to all of our supporters.  As many of you know, we have held our race virtually the previous two years, and this year’s race event was our time to come back in-person.  Our team has been striving hard to bring back the same family friendly feeling in our Atlanta community, celebrate the families that have finalized their adoptions, and link arms with you to help fund more adoption grants.  We have had such a huge success with this event by raising over $103,000 and helping over 40 families just from this event alone.  

It is with an extremely sad heart that we have to announce the cancelation of the 6th Annual Adopted by You 5K and Fun Run in-person.  With our race only one week away, our registration and sponsor goals have not been met in order to reach the financial need necessary to hold this event. Based on this current climate, we have to move our fundraising race event to a virtual one.  We want to make sure we can give as much assistance as possible to our families.  To be able to continue moving forward in-person, we would have to use money previously planned for a family grant.  We feel this hard choice is the one we need to make as a charity in order to use our money wisely.

If you have already registered, we have moved you over to the virtual event for your race distance chosen.  We will be mailing race shirts and finisher medals to all of you supporting Adopted by You this year.  If you were previously registered to run in-person (not virtual) and you would like a refund, please contact hschwartz@giftofadoption.org.

If you have not signed up yet, please support us by registering as a virtual participant.  You will receive a race shirt and participant medal.
