Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST presented by Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is back for the 6th year!

Hopefest is a festival to bring together everyone affected by cancer - Survivors, patients, caregivers, family members, friends, and co-workers. We come together as a community to support, celebrate, and encourage one another. 

Chemo Buddies' annual Hopefest will be held on April 27, 2024 at Friedman Park in Newburgh. 
The day will kick off with the 5K  through the park at 9:00am.  Our signature event - the Survivor’s Parade will begin at the amphitheater at 10:30am.  Please find a spot in the amphitheater to cheer on all the survivors!  Immediately following the parade will be the start of the 1 mile Hope WALK at 11:00am
Throughout the day enjoy checking out some cool cars at the cruise-in, shop at Vendor Village, eat something from one of the delicious food trucks, listen to the live music, and let the kids enjoy the inflatables and face painting.  It’s sure to be a great event!

Please note: The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds. Shirts, medals, and other swag are available only as supplies last. Please register before April 1 to ensure you will receive these items!  Those who register after April 1 can check at the registration table on event day for availability!

5K

Registration fees - $30 before April 19, 2024 and $35 after April 19 until the start of the event.  All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

1-Mile Hope Walk

Registration fees - $20 before April 19, 2024, and $25 after April 19 until the start of the event.  All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

T-Shirts and medals

All registrations for the 5K, 1-mile walk, and Survivor’s Parade will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!

Participation medals will be given to the first 250 5K finishers.

All registrations on or before April 1, 2024, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Those who register after April 1 can check at registration the day of the event for t-shirt availability.

Can I Walk the 5K?

Yes, just no pets, please!

Do I need to register my child?

Ages 3 and under are free to participate.

Awards

Awards will be given to 5K runners who run and finish in the top three of their age brackets, overall male and female, plus participation medals for the first 250 5K finishers.  

Age brackets: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70+

Registration Check-In

If you did not pick up your race packet in advance, please check in at the registration tables prior to the start times. The registration table will be located near the race start area. Check-in will begin at 8:00 am and end at 8:45am. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. All 1-mile walker and Survivor’s Parade must check-in/register by 10:00am

Packet Pickup - at our office 3700 Bellemeade Ave Suite 118

Packet pickup will begin on Tuesday April 23 ay 9:00am and will continue up until Thursday, April 25h.  NO PICK UP ON FRIDAY APRIL 26TH!

PLEASE TRY TO PICK UP BEFORE THE DAY OF EVENT!
