    The 2023 Ashley River Adventure Race will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. 

     

    This unique race will feature a 5k +/- trail run through Ashley River Park, a 7-mile river paddle, a post-race party at Ashley River Park.   As always, post party tickets are available for your friends, family, and general spectators.

     

    We do not provide your kayak or SUP.  Bring your own or rent one.  To rent a kayak, please reach out to Nature Adventures at 843-568-3222 or reserve online at Nature Adventures.

    Event Schedule:
    Friday, September 29th
    5:00 - 7:00 P.M.           Packet Pick up at Ashley River Park/Howard Bridgman Boat Landing
    Saturday, September 30th
    9:00 - 10:30 A.M.       Packet Pickup - Coffee provided by Coastal Coffee Roasters
    10:45 A.M                  Race Announcements
    11:00 A.M.                 Race Starts With Run at 200 Renken Rd.
    1:00 P.M.                   Music/Lunch/Post Race Party Start at Ashley River Park
    2:00 P.M.                   Awards Ceremony

    Race Categories:
    Individual, Relay (1 participant runs then different participant paddles), and Tandem (both participants paddle a tandem kayak and both participants must run and finish race together), SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Individual or Relay. *Categories may be adjusted based on participants.

    All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
    All paddlers are required, in accordance with SC State Law, to wear a personal floatation device at all times throughout the paddle and to carry a whistle. If any racer is found on the water without their PFD, they will be disqualified from the race.
     
    Post-Race Party and Awards Ceremony:
    One ticket to the post-race party at Ashley River Park is included in your race registration. Additional party attendees ages 13 and over must purchase party tickets in advance. These tickets are also available on this site. Post-race party ticket includes BBQ, entertainment, lawn games and the Awards Ceremony. 
     
    Race Shirts
    A race shirt IS included with each racer registration.
