The 5th annual Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/River Cleanup, on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Held at Boom Island Park, Minneapolis, in the only National Park offering scenic views of the Mississippi River!

Family-friendly (bring those strollers!) and dogs welcome on a course that travels through one of the city's most historic and naturally beautiful areas.

Before and following the 5K learn about efforts to protect pollinators, and enjoy live music, entertainment, and 50th anniversary Earth Day festivities. Take part in an organized river cleanup.

Support the Great River Coalition as we and our partners develop a Pollinator Pathway of critical habitat in Minneapolis, with plans to extend the pathway from the headwaters of the Mississippi at Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico.

Save our bees and their habitat by participating in this National Movement!

    Get "sweet" swag:

All paid participants and river clean-up volunteers will receive a tech shirt, plus an e-voucher for $5 off of the 14th annual Minneapolis Bike Tour and discount tickets from local businesses. Kid's run (ages 6 & under) includes an environmentally-friendly 'bee goodie bag' for registered participants.

Plus you can win great prizes:

    • 4 tickets to a regular-season Vikings game in U.S. Bank Stadium (row 12, tier 1, value $600)
    • HD Smart TV
    • And much more!

Costumes are encouraged, so get creative! Team discount!

The 2020 Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk and River Cleanup is presented in Partnership with the National Park Service and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
