If you aren't familiar, the Ididarun is run after dark so BRING A HEADLAMP! There are parts of the course that are unlit, so you will NEED a light. Although we will start and finish the race on pavement, about half is on grass and trails, so if there is snow on the ground, you will be running through whatever conditions are present. Some years it is ice, some years it is mud, and we have seen everything in between. The Giveaway this year is your choice of a Mug, winter hat or  waterbottle with Ididarun logos! The winter hat and waterbottle are the same as we have had in years past, just so you are aware. 

Parking 

Park in the Linden Middle School lots on the West or Southwest sides of the building (the first 2 you see as you enter the school complex from Lobdell road). DO NOT park in the bus loop please, this is part of the course! You will not be able to enter from the direction of Linden High School's Silver Lake Rd entrance, due to construction. 

Packet Pick Up and Day of Registration

Packet pick up and registration will open at 4:30 pm in the Linden Middle School Cafeteria. Please arrive with plenty of time to get your bib and prepare for the race start at 5:30 (8 milers) or 6pm (4 milers). Day of Registration WILL be available for $30 per race. Race giveaways will be on a first come first serve basis for day of registrants (pre-registered racers have already reserved theirs online). If we run out of mugs, hats or bottles, registration will be reduced to $20 for day of registrants. Day of will be CASH ONLY - we do not have the ability to process cards. 

Post Race Awards and SOUP

After your hard run race, we will have warm soup for all competitors prepared by Linden's generous parents! We will also present awards to the top 3 finishers in each race and age category.

Course Route and Pre Race Meeting

I will hold a short pre-race instruction meeting in the LMS cafeteria at 5:20 regarding the race course and procedures.

8 mile runner will start at 5:30! 4 mile runners will start at 6:00! 

This stagger should help us get results in a more timely manner so there hopefully won't be a lag in awards from the 4 mile winners to the 8 mile winners. 

The start and finish is right outside the North doors of the Linden Middle School cafeteria. From there the course is very similar to years past heading southwest out the pathway that runs adjacent to the entry road. You will turn around near the entrance at Lobdell Rd and return to the northeast until you enter the trail section of the course, cutting east through the woods. You will exit the woods onto the practice football field and circle the baseball field to the north. From there you will head west and run through the stadium in front of the bleachers. You will exit the stadium and then trace the middle school bus loop in a clockwise direction until you have reached the start/finish line again. Each loop is 2 miles. 4 mile race = 2 laps, 8 mile race = 4 laps.
