The 39th running of the Timothy Murphy 10k Run/Walk for the Environment will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 9am. The race starts at Max V. Shaul State Park and travels along scenic State Route 30, known as the Timothy Murphy Trail. The course is mostly flat to slightly downhill, with a few short uphill grades. It finishes on Main Street in Middleburgh, kicking of the annual Columbus Day Celebration and Parade. 

TRANSPORTATION: Bus transportation will be provided from Middleburgh High School to Max V. Shaul State Park BEFORE THE RACE ONLY. The bus will leave from the high school at 8:00am. There will be limited seating available; please arrive early to secure a seat. Free parking is available in the school parking lot and in the adjacent municipal parking lot. 

Participants can also be dropped off at Max V. Shaul State Park; however, vehicles cannot be left at the park once the race starts. There is plenty of free parking available at the Valley Soccer Complex just 1/3 mile south of the starting line. 

Reminder that this is not an “out and back or loop course”. Please plan your transportation accordingly.
