Welcome to the Fifth Annual Monster Mash Fun Run and Kids' Free Monster Dash. We are back partnering with Oro Valley Parks and Recreation and its Concerts in the Park (the OVPR Monster Mash Party has been postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19). The run will be a Halloween-themed event for the entire family, and we encourage everyone to dress up.
LIMITED TO 105 RUNNERS IN THE MONSTER MASH 3 MILE RUN.
There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION; EVERYONE MUST REGISTER ONLINE BY THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, AT MIDNIGHT.
Each Monster Mash Fun Run participant will receive a GLOW in the DARK finisher's medal and a free meal at the finish line.
ALL 105 entries will receive a halloween-themed blinky hat.Each Free Kids' Monster Mash participant will enjoy:
~A halloween finisher's medal
~A halloween runner's bibOYL will stream a halloween movie (kid-friendly) near the start/finish line, and Oro Valley Parks and Recreation will provide a halloween festival with games, face painting and pumpkin painting.

Please read the following so you understand how the race will unfold:
The Course*
This will be a wave start with one runner going off every 10 seconds. SOCIAL DISTANCING AT 6 FT APART IS MANDATORY WHILE WAITING TO START. You must pick your wave start time during registration. It will be a chip start/chip finish. The race starts in Steam Pump Ranch, runs through the hayride field before you enter the riverpath to the turnaround in the Oro Valley Marketplace. Once you cross the start line, you will drink a shot of witch's brew (root beer) and then run to the turnaround. After the turnaround at the bridge, you'll have to eat a pumpkin pie muffin then run to the finish line. Volunteers will be on the course directing runner traffic ~ where to turn around and where to eat/drink..
No one will be allowed to start after the 6:30-6:35 p.m. wave.
*WARNING ~ THERE MAY BE STROBE LIGHTS.
ALL paid-participants will receive a finisher's medal and a meal..
The kids will enjoy a free fun run through the hayride field, up onto the riverpath and then back to the finish line. Each child will receive a bib number and finisher's medal.
Awards
1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall Male and Female Awards. The awards will be available for pickup at the Oro Valley Fleet Feet store on Saturday, October 3.
