    Welcome to the Hub City Races!  Located in Northwest Indiana and now In it's 10th year, the Hub City Races offers a 20 Miler, Half, 10K & 5K.  All are chip timed, out and back flat courses that begin and end in a scenic, wooded park & travel along the streets of historic Crown Point.

    Special Features:  

    • Finisher Medals to first 400 signed up!
    • Chip timed race (you will cross mats at start & finish).  
      USATF certified Half marathon distance.  20 Miler, 10K & 5K is not certified.
    • Race Awards for Half/10K & 5K for Top Overall, Top Master (40+) & Top 3 Finishers in each age group  No awards for 21 Miler. 
      4 water stops visited 8 times with both water & Gatorade  3 restrooms visited 6 times.

    Timeline:
    6:30 am - Registration/Sign In opens
    7:00 am - 20 Miler starts 
    7:30 am - Half Marathon starts
    7:45 am - 10K starts.
    8:00 am - 5K starts

    Race Awards after the last finishers of the 5Ks & 10Ks.  We will do a "rolling" awards ceremony for the Half marathon as the results come in.

    Course: A chip start (you will cross mats at start & finish), timed race on the streets of scenic Crown Point, IN  All races are an out and back course.  Starts and finishes in Lake Co. Fairgrounds.

    Water Stations:  There are 4 water stops you will pass 8 times along the out & back course.  You will pass them 4 times on your way to the turnaround and 4 times again as you make your way back to the Finish.  The stops will have water, gatorade, gels & volunteers cheering you on!

    Restrooms/Port-A-Potties:  There are 3 restrooms/port-a-potties you will pass 6 times along the out & back course.  Just like the water stops, you will pass 3 facilities on the way to the turnaround and pass them again on your way back to the Finish line.

    Suggested 3 1/2 hour time limit for Half marathon (14 min pace) & 4 1/2 hour time limit for 20 Miler (12:15 min pace).  The course will be a rolling street closure. If you should fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.  

    20 Miler: $55 thru 9/7.  9/8 & after: $65.  
    Half:  $45 thru 9/7.  9/8 & after: $55.
    10K:  $30 thru 9/7.  9/8 & after: $35.
    5K: $25 thru 9/7.  9/8 & after: $30.

    Shirts extra $16 until 9/3.

    Packet Pick up: Sunday, Sept. 15th, 6:30 - 7:40 am, Lake Co. Fairgrounds

    RACE AWARDS for Half & 5K:  Top Overall, Top Master (40+), Clydesdale (Men 210+ lbs), Athena (Women 170+ lbs), Top Three finishers in each age group.  Age divisions: 0-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.  10K will be based on number of participants. No awards for 21 Miler.

    Please note:  No refunds will be given due to weather or for any other reason.  You also can NOT transfer your registration after September 1st.  If you do not pick up your shirt at the event, unclaimed shirts will be sold after the run.   If you have any questions, please contact Tim@yourhometownevents.com
