We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.

No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

Leashed pet friendly

The course will take you through dedicated running trails (all asphalt and concrete) of the New River Trail System, starting and ending at Peoria Sports Complex - meaning no need for transportation before or after the race just to get back to your car! Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

Cottontail Dash is an untimed half mile fun run with an egg hunt along the route. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a shirt. You are welcome to bring your own bag/basket or one will be provided for you. Eggs are handed out by volunteers so that everyone will come away with equal amount of eggs. Parents who only want to accompany their children on the course do not need to register. This event has a 100 person limit.

Due to the common start/finish line, there is no bag check for this event.

This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers due to weather.

There is a 4.5 hour time limit for the half marathon distance.

Water and Gatorade will be located at the following locations:

• Half Marathon: Miles 1.38, 1.7, 3.28, 4.8, 6.25, 7.6, 8.65 (turnaround), 9.7, 11.00, and 11.75
• 10K - Miles 1.38, 1.7, 3.28 (turnaround), 4.84
• 5K - Mile 1.38 and 1.7

GU Gels will be available for half marathon runners at miles 6.25 and 11.

Restrooms will be located at:

• Half Marathon - Miles 2.35, 6.8, 10.4, and 11.1
  • PLEASE NOTE: The restrooms at mile 2.35 and 11.1 will be located off the course in Rio Vista Park (next to the running path/trail and playground structure).
• 10K - Miles 2.35 and 4.2
