The same Berbee Derby experience you've loved for 20 years is back under new leadership and a new name! Join us for the Madison's Favorite Thanksgiving Day Tradition, the Birdie Derby 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk!

Can't make it on race day and you don't want to miss out on the tradition? Sign up for the virtual Birdie Derby!  And if you have a little one (2-6), they can participate in the Kids Dash, a great way to start the day!

Did you know that you are giving back to our local community when you participate in the Birdie Derby? 100% of proceeds from the Derby fund the Tri 4 Schools' Grants 4 Schools! Grants 4 Schools awards thousands of dollars in grants to Dane County schools and community centers to support initiatives that enhance the educational experience and wellbeing of kids. Grants 4 Schools has supported everything from gaga-ball pits, to sensory pathways, mindfulness trails, and fitness equipment for over 200 schools. By participating, you are making a true difference in our beautiful community.

  *Your race packet will be mailed the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to the address submitted during registration. To update your address, please log in to your RunSignup account. You can pick up your packet during our normal Packet Pick-Up hours (Tuesday-Wednesday 8 am-5 pm).
  *Virtual participants do not qualify for any awards.
  *Virtual participants are eligible to join in-person teams. More information is available here.

Any changes to registrations must be completed before Monday, November 25, 2024.  No changes from in-person to virtual are accepted after this time.

Grants 4 Schools is a program of Tri 4 Schools. Tri 4 Schools is a Dane County nonprofit that supports the wellbeing of kids inside and outside the classroom through multisport events, afterschool programs, financial assistance to families, and grants.
