                                      RUN IT TO THE SUMMIT TRAIL FESTIVAL! 

                                                          Festival of Events

     

    1. UPHILL CHALLENGE: Run from the base of Iliad and back down.



    2. 5k MOUNTAIN LOOP: Climb up Spartan, take Epicurus Way to Sephyr, Upper Pollox, Marathon, climb to chair 4, Upper Mars Hill (down), Poseidon, Lower Zeus, (ends at bottom of chair 4), top of chair 3, Lower Platonic to the finish.  909 feet of elevation gain in a 5k!

     

    3. 10k MOUNTAIN LOOP: Climb up Spartan, take Epicurus Way to Sephyr, Upper Pollox, Marathon, climb to chair 4, Upper Mars Hill (down), Poseidon, Lower Zeus, (ends at bottom of chair 4), top of chair 3, Lower Platonic to the finish. Repeat!  1818 feet of elevation gain in a 10k!

     

    4. MOUNTAIN MASHUP Uphill/5k: Uphill Challenge plus 5k.  Run from the base of Iliad to the summit, then come back down to the finish line following Alcmene. Then get to the starting line in time to run your mountain 5k! Climb up Spartan, take Epicurus Way to Sephyr, Upper Pollox, Marathon, climb to chair 4, Upper Mars Hill (down), Poseidon, Lower Zeus, (ends at bottom of chair 4), top of chair 3, Lower Platonic to the finish.  1523 feet of elevation gain in 4.28 miles.

     

    5. MOUNTAIN MASHUP Uphill/10k:  Uphill Challenge plus 10k.  Run from the base of Iliad to the summit, then come back down to the finish line following Alcmene. Then get to the starting line in time to run your mountain 10k! Climb up Spartan, take Epicurus Way to Sephyr, Upper Pollox, Marathon, climb to chair 4, Upper Mars Hill (down), Poseidon, Lower Zeus, (ends at bottom of chair 4), top of chair 3, Lower Platonic to the finish. 2432 feet of elevation gain in 7.38 miles.

     

    All events include:

    • Leone Timing chip timing and day of results

    • Well marked courses

    • Beautiful views

    • Steep ascents and descents for all distances

    • Swag: Water Bottle for all finishers.

    • Awards: First and second female/male awards in each event. Median runners in each event will get one month of free coaching from Miles & Macros.

    • Raffle: Registrants are automatically entered into a raffle (2 times) for a chance to win a $25 Fleet Feet gift card.

    • Treasure Hunt:  3 print out cheese steaks will be on survey flags used to mark the course. If you see the card, grab it and hold on to it to get a $25 gift card from Gino's Cheese Steak and Onion at the end of the race. 1 allowed per person.

    Start Times:

    • Start Times: Uphill Challenge at 8:30am

    • ​5k at 8:30am

    • 10k at 8:30am

    • Mountain Mash-ups at 8:30am.  All races start together.  5k/10k participants will head off onto their route while the mashup/uphill challenge participants will start their climb up the mountain, back down, and directly into the route of the 5k/10k. 


    Parking: There will be parking in the resort parking lot at Greek Peak Mountain Resort.  


    Packet Pick Up: TBD. Most likely just on race day morning.

     

    Hiking/Running Poles:  Poles are allowed for both events.


    Headphones:  Headphones are not permitted.

     

    Aid Stations: This is a carry your own water and nutrition event. There will be ONE Aid Station at the top of Iliad for the turnaround of the uphill challengers.  5k runners and 10k runners will pass this station about 1.2 miles in - right after their climb. *Carry in, carry out.  No trace left behind!*


    Bathroom Facilities: The Resort is open and bathrooms are available. Facilities open at 7:30am

     

    Deferrals/Refunds: There are no transfers nor deferrals after May 13th. There are no refunds for this event.

     

    Venue Discounts: Venue Discounts: Lodging for $179, Zip Lines $48/pp, Ropes Course $48/pp, Waterpark $25/pp, Mountain Coaster $12/ride, $30/3 rides, and $48 ride all day.

    ***Considerations before registering: This is a steep ski trail, please wear the appropriate footwear and note that there is potential for injury.  When you register for the event you agree to release Miles & Macros, LLC, Run it to the Summit, the Greek Peak Mountain Resort, and all of it's affiliates of any liability.***
