Having managed to mess up the photos taken at the previous series race, the RTW ace photographer was able to redeem himself this week.
Two masters, and RTW regulars, Bill Schroeder of Kingwood and Ann Leoni of The Woodlands, were the top overall and female finishers. Schroeder took control of the race during the first quarter mile and slowly increased his lead over RTW newcomer William Durham of Houston. Leoni also led from start to finish in the women's competition.
Conditions: clear; high 70's at the start; very high humidity; calm.
The next race in the series is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th. "Smoothie King" is scheduled to make a return visit. The entry fee remains $1.00 (yes, one dollar).
