Multi-time RTW winner Bill Schroeder grabbed the lead a little over a quarter-mile into the race and ultimately topped second-place finisher and first junior Juston Perez by 21 seconds. RTW newcomer Lisa Belson was an easy women's division winner.

The total of 43 finishers was a high for 2003, but well short of the all-time RTW record of 90 (August 11, 2001).

Conditions: Upper 70's, low 80's; high humidity; breaking clouds; calm.

Upcoming: The next two races are scheduled for Saturday, June 28th and Saturday, July 12th. Races are run on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. The entry fee remains $1.00 (yes, one dollar).
