Your privacy is important to us. We take a very minimal approach to collecting information from you. We DO NOT set Cookies, we DO NOT save any Credit Card information on our servers, we DO NOT sell or share your information with anyone except the Event Director, and our registration service provider for races you register for at RunningintheUSA.com. On some pages, you can Register as a User of our website and/or signup for an Event. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

Name
Address
E-mail Address
Date of Birth (used for race categories only)
Sex (used for race categories)

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, if you register a family member such as a child or spouse or friend you will be asked to put in similar information.

We do not collect your credit card information directly, nor do we store your information on our website. The credit card information is sent directly via secure means to our payment service.

We use the information you provide about yourself when registering for an Event only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except for the Event Director who is hosting your event and needs your information for that Event.

We use the information you provide about someone else when registering them for an Event only for the purposes of that Event. We do not share this information with outside parties except for the Event Director who is hosting your event and needs your information for that Event.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to register for an Event, and only parents or guardians may register for their children. You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by Editing your Profile after signing in. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information. Event Directors who use our website agree to terms that prohibit them from reselling or using your name for any purposes than notifying you about their race.
