The Hill's Great Rover Road Run (GRRR) is an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run that promotes health and wellness amongst people and their four-legged friends all while raising money for the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund. This is a fun and exciting event for all involved! Whether you are ready for a 5K or simply want to take your pet for a fun stroll, this event promises a day full of activities and community togetherness. All race proceeds and donations benefit the Good Samaritan Fund.

About The Good Samaritan Fund

Most of us have had the difficult experience of coming upon a stray animal that is injured or sick. Each year, over 300 such animals needing emergency treatment are brought to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine’s 24-hour emergency facility by Good Samaritans who care deeply for animals in need. Our Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides emergency services, critical care, testing, and ICU to these homeless animals who often stay for days or weeks as they heal. The cost of treating these animals approaches $70,000 per year, a cost we absorb as part of our mission to heal. Funds raised through this event are used to offset the cost of treatment for these animals in need. The Hill's Great Rover Road Run is an event that was created to help ensure this Good Samaritan Fund is always available for animals in need of medical treatment.
