Where We've Been
Webmasters Mary and Bill have been busy with lots of races since the last Newsletter.
One of Wisconsin's new marathons this year, the Eisenbahn Marathon started in Eden, WI and followed the Eisenbahn Trail, ending in West Bend, WI.
This half marathon has been around for a few years, but this was the first time Webmaster Mary ran it. The course winds through residential areas and loops around Fowler Lake. This year's half marathon had 899 finishers. The event also has a 5K.
New this year, the very scenic Green Lake Half Marathon drew a tough women's masters field. Four of the top seven Wisconsin women's masters runners ran the inaugural event.
The Labor Day 10K is run at the Chippewa Nature Center in Midland, MI. Webmaster Mary used to go to day camp there as a little smunchkin many years ago.
Scenic, well organized, great perks, favorite race t-shirt, and a suprise PR made this a favorite race for Mary.
Mud fest. Early morning storms soaked the trails leaving wet and muddy conditions.
Inaugural Event, well organized, nice perks. Scenic course along the Fox River starting and ending in St Charles, IL.
