The festival is a collection of running, cycling, inline skating and mountain biking’s finest
endurance events located in the heart the Midwest. The concept of the festival is to
bring endurance athletes of many different sports together in one place where they can
experience a unique camaraderie, the essence of sport, and the feeling of true
accomplishment… crossing the finish line. Come to the festival and experience GREAT events,
multisport camaraderie, breathtaking countryside and nightly entertainment. Experience more
than just another race.
The Great Midwest Marathon and Half Marathon is a truly unique and exciting experience
that finishers can be proud of. The challenging course starts in celebratory fashion in
the heart of downtown Elkhart Lake before leading participants on the journey ahead.
The certified course tours from town to town, through Wisconsin’s beautiful country side,
past historic sites, and over hills reminiscent of Boston. The half marathon is a point
to point run starting at the Wade House historical site and finishing in the same
location as the marathon and other festival events making for an action packed experience.

Arctic Orienteering

The Arctic Orienteering Club sponsors about 20 events a year from May - September in and around
the Anchorage, AK area.
Orienteering is the sport of cross country navigation using map and compass. To some it is a
competitive race while to others it is a chance to get out and explore the countryside,
challenge the mind, and enjoy the company.
