The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART)

invites you to participate in the 4th Annual Commuter Dash 5K to Kick-off

the Triad Commute Challenge 2013. This year the race will be held in Downtown

High Point on April 6, 2013 at the High Point Theater so be sure to mark your

calendars. This FREE event hosted by PART and Triad Air Awareness encourages

people to try alternative transportation at least once between April 6-July 6,

2013. Last year over 5,000 people took the Triad Commute Challenge and committed

to switch from a single passenger vehicle to an alternative transportation

solution like walking, biking, using public transportation, carpooling,

vanpooling, or teleworking at least once decreasing the vehicle miles traveled by

4.4 million miles which translates into an emissions reduction of 2,900 tons

and saving more than $759,000 in fuel. Sharing the ride means not only cleaner
