Thousands of people visit our site everyday looking for running, walking and triathlon information. You can put your race or product in front of all of those individuals by advertising on our site.

We have five different size ad spots as listed below. The name of the ad spot is shown in bold.
The first number after the name is the height in pixels and second is the width in pixels.
Banner ad - 468 x 60
Block ad - 150 x 150
Button ad - 120 x 60
Sm. Vertical Banner ad - 120 x 240
Vertical Banner ad - 120 x 600

We would prefer that you provide the graphic ad (but we can create graphics if needed), static or animated, in a standard type file format, such as .gif or .jpg. The graphic will be linked directly to your site so that when it is clicked on by a visitor to RUSA site, they will be taken directly to your location.

Below you will find more descriptions of these various spots along with rates for some - the other locations vary in price and are determined by us based on availability and location - you'll need to email us for those rates. Take a look and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Place a block or banner ad on our state pages to promote your race, product or company by targeting runners in your state or states nearby. We have space for up to 3 block ads and 1 banner ad on the state pages.

Each state consists of three different pages: Races, Clubs, Results (eg. WI Races, WI Clubs, WI Results).

These three pages are referred to as "the Map pages" because they each have a United States map on them. They are the primary navigation pages used by visitors to our site who are searching for races, results or clubs. Taken together, these pages have slightly more traffic through them than does the Home page. If you purchase an ad for placement on these pages, your ad will appear on each of the three Map pages.

We have multiple types of advertising possibilities on these pages. In addition to the banner ad at the top of each of the Map pages, the vertical banner ad spaces shown on the right and left columns can accommodate a combination of Button Ads and Sm. Vertical Banner Ads or the Vertical Banner.

Home Page Ad Rates and more details

The Home page at Running in the USA is the single most visited page in our site. It has two advertising positions available as shown in the pictures.

Shown in the top picture is the primary ad location we have on the Home page - the Banner Ad. It's location is in a highly visible spot, on a highly visited page.

Shown in the lower picture is the secondary ad location we have on the Home page. The Button Ad spots are located below the left navigation panel, next to the Recent Results section. We can accommodate up to 5 Button Ads in this location.

The large horizontal banner at the top of the pages are served and managed by Sportgenic.

How to Proceed

Below is a brief description of how to proceed with getting an ad placed on our site:

Email me (Bill) with the ad locations you're interested in, along with the time frame you'd like to run the ad and any other questions you may have.
I will check to see what the availability is of the requested ad spots.
At this point, I will most likely offer up a few custom ad options for you to take a look at.
Once we have worked out an ad plan and the graphic had been sent to me (or created by me and approved by you), I will get the information loaded into our system.
You will then be emailed an invoice with all the particulars about the ad placement including: time frame and location the ad will run, who to make a check out to and where to send payment.
