Phew..they came in from everywhere tonight..John Barry of Brockton, MA and the coach of Brockton High School Cross Country Team..the Whittemores from Leominster, MA, Jimmy & Mary Dupont from Raynham, MA.....Brian Kelly up from North Chatham, Brian Poli all the way from Lynn, MA.....even Fiona Heenan just arriving in from Co. Tipperary, Ireland...something good must be cookin' down at the Marsh Post and I'm not talkin' about those burgers and dogs that Grandad LasRosa cooks up "almost" every week--if you listened to all those stories out there and they are out there folks you would go blind:>)
Well, Bree Tse is tearing up the little asphalt there is out on the course..amazingly she knocked off over a minute from last weeks time..for those of you who will actually check..let me know if I am right--but she should be running this fast as she weighs less than the RD was when I left mi mothers womb..she is that small!! But alas, Michelle McAndrew has finally come out of her slow running shell and ran pretty darn hard tonight also. Michelle wasn't blinded by the sneaker smoke that was created from Bree and those rockets for sneakers...in three weeks Michelle wups Bree at the Michael Collins "Race For Freedom" a bet ole PC placed late last night with a Somerville bookie!! And while I am on the subject of the Michael Collins "Race For Freedom" let's give it a plug..not that it needs it tho! A special night hosted by yours truly and the Somerville Striders Athletic Club...live music, Irish food, a little bit of running and a cash bar and as some like to say............it's free!!!!!!!!!!!
